Privacy Policy
This site has no accounts, no signup and no uploads. Your videos are compressed in your browser and never sent to us, we don’t ask for your name, and we never sell personal data. Below is a plain account of the data that does get collected, by whom, and what you can do about it.

Cookies and your controls
When enabled, Google Analytics measures page visits only after you accept analytics cookies. The site doesn’t currently show ads or set advertising cookies. If we add advertising such as Google AdSense, this page will be updated first, and we’ll ask for your consent before setting ad cookies where required.
You can change your analytics preferences at any time. We remember your choice in a cookie for 180 days. Withdrawing consent reloads the page to stop analytics. You can also delete existing analytics cookies in your browser settings.
Blocking cookies doesn’t break anything. The compression tool works the same with cookies turned off.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or erase personal data we hold, object to processing based on legitimate interests, withdraw cookie consent, and complain to your national supervisory authority. Our lawful bases are legitimate interests for security logging and consent for analytics cookies.
You can ask what categories of personal information are collected and ask for deletion. We don’t sell personal information and don’t currently use advertising integrations.
Send the request from the Contact page and say which right you’re using. We reply within 30 days. Since there are no accounts, we may not be able to link log or cookie data to you. If so, we’ll say so rather than guess.
Retention, transfers and children
Retention. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days for security and diagnostics, then discarded. Analytics data follows our Google Analytics property settings. Email is kept while it’s useful for support, then deleted. Your videos are never received, so there’s nothing of yours to keep.
International transfers. Our hosting and analytics providers operate globally, so data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States, under the transfer mechanisms those providers offer.
Children. This site isn’t directed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes. If a new feature changes what is collected, this page is updated before it ships.
