The tool aims to keep the result under the size you set. Some videos can’t get under very small targets. When that happens, the result shows the actual size.
Your original is never changed. Keep it until you’re happy with the compressed file.
Compression trades some detail for a smaller file. We aim to preserve visual quality, but long videos, fast motion and small targets give up more detail.
Size and length figures on this site are estimates for typical phone video, not promises for your file.
Compatibility and limits
What the tool can open and how fast it runs depends on your browser and computer. Some formats may not open in every browser.
Very large or long videos may not finish, especially on a phone. When a file can’t be processed, the tool says so instead of producing a broken download.
The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We don’t guarantee it will always be available or free of errors.
Using this site
Only compress videos you have the right to use. Your videos never reach us, so what you do with them is your responsibility.
