About
A one-person project that makes videos smaller, to the size you pick, without sending them anywhere.
Why I built this
I couldn’t find a video compressor that was both simple and honest about where my file went.
Most of the ones I tried wanted me to upload the video first, sign up to download it, or accept a watermark on the result. Many asked me to choose a bitrate or a codec, when all I wanted was a file under 25MB for an email.
So I built something plain: pick a video, type the size you need, download a smaller file. It all happens in your browser.
Who I am, and what this is
Not a video company and not a cloud service. Someone who got tired of upload-first tools and built one that works on your own device.
No team and no outside investors. There’s no account, no paid plan and no watermark. Your data isn’t sold. See the Privacy Policy.
What you can do here
Choose how to trade size against detail, and read how compressing without visible quality loss works.
How it works
The video is read, compressed and saved by your own browser. It never leaves your device, so nothing is uploaded to a server and there’s no copy on our side.
When your device supports it, the tool uses hardware-accelerated encoding, which is faster and more efficient. The result aims to come in under the size you set. Browser compression can’t hit a size to the byte, so when a video can’t get under the target, the result shows the actual size instead.
How a compressed video looks depends on its length, its content and the target you choose. The details are in the Disclaimer.
